Waverley Bowling Club & Seniors Living

This project is subject to approval.  The proposals include for heritage buildings at the centre of the site to be retained as a feature of the project, with landscape curtilage established to reference the earlier open space context. The existing Waverley Bowling Club was built in the 1960’s and replaced a sandstone School, St Gabriel’s on the site. The bowling clubhouse is being incorporated and adapted as a community facility for residents. The greens and carpark are proposed to be redeveloped into a new bowling club facility and greens, along with an enlarged club facility and sports club. Landscape open space is provided to the podium level, and residential and senior’s living ILU’s buildings are proposed above the podium levels. Generous common areas provide links into the site, a new café and outdoor seating area, and access to various residential and club lobbies.
